Movement in the foundation of a warehouse had caused cracking where the roof connected to the walls. The block wall pilasters had blown apart at the top of the wall and were rebuilt using reinforcing connections.
The project then moved outside and included digging to the bottom of the footer to address the issue. Casa Forte utilized concrete buttresses directly underneath the problem areas to stabilize the building and prevent any further movement.
An historic bluestone sidewalk, likely from the 1800's, was removed from Philadelphia, transported to Iselin, NJ and utilized for a one-of-kind backyard patio and firepit. Breathing new life into old buildings (and materials!) is a core value and passion at Casa Forte. A truly unique project for incredible owners.
A deck at a residence in Mendham, NJ had sunken considerably over the years and had become an issue for the owners. Casa Forte used jacks to raise the deck back to level again, expanded and strengthened the posts, installed new lattice and with the added height was able to put in some under-deck storage.
